Master Gardening December Meeting

Tuesday night the Shelby County Master Gardeners met for a lively celebration of garden friendship. We started the evening out with great food and conversation .

We were all asked to bring fresh greenery for wreaths and Brett identified each sprig for us.

It was a great learning adventure. From this collection of nature ,Linda Casey used her talents to make us all a swag to take home.

The next order for the night was the Dirty Santa Game. We all brought garden related gifts and then according to numbers we had drawn we got to pick a gift.

The catch was that the person whose turn it was to pick could steal someone else's gift. That person in turn could pick another gift or steal as well.

As you can well imagine, this lead to lively camaraderie .

But in the end, all of us were very thrilled with our gifts and enjoyed the friendship.

A good time was had by all!

Merry Christmas and Have a Great New Year!

Tuesday December 13th

Dear Master Gardeners and Friends

We will have a special get together to celebrate the holidays on Tuesday December 13th, 6:30pm at the Shelby County Cooperative Extension Office.

We ask that you bring an appetizer or dessert to share and some cuttings from your evergreens trees and shrubs.  We will have a short discussion about evergreens and Linda Casey will demonstrate making holiday swags from the fresh greenery.

Join in the garden themed gift exchange. "Dirty Santa" style...have fun exchanging and re exchanging. Bring a garden-related gift and your spirit of fun!!!
